Vita owners suffering through the system’s post launch drought, rejoice: XSeed announced this weekend that they’ll be bringing over two previously Japan-only Vita titles to America sometime later this year.
Long suffering Wii owners, the drought is over: XSEED Games announced today that they will be publishing Mistwalker’s action-RPG epic The Last Story in North America. The Last Story was published by Nintendo in Japan and Europe, but the North American branch of the hardware giant stupidly refused to bring the game over themselves. Thankfully, XSEED is picking up the ball that Nintendo of America fumbled, and now North American J-RPG fans will get to play this apparently great game.
You’ve probably not heard of this at all, but Corpse Party is a horror/adventure game created for a Japanese computer called the PC98, which is what the originals of the popular Touhou and Rance series’ were released on. Let’s give a rundown.
What’s that you say ‘Y’s Seven was release not but two months ago!’, well you would be correct and perhaps too sceptical for your own good. What you leery folks may not be aware is that this is a PSP remake of a 2005 game by the name of Ys III: Wanderers from Ys in which you again play as Adol Christin and his friend Dogi. It takes place three years after the events of the first two games, starting in Adols’ hometown of Redmont.
It’s almost here, two days to go until us North Americans can enjoy this treasure of RPG awesomeness. Ys Seven was released in Japan a little less than a year ago and as you may expect, it is the seventh instalment in the Ys series. You may not have heard of this series of game before, but that is probably because the first three games were released for the NEC PC-8801. Then the fourth came to the SNES and the PC Engine and most future games came to the Windows platform. This is the first release of a Ys game to be released in North America on a console device first. XSeed, the company that is taking care of localization of this game, has also recently done work on Ivy The Wiki.
Ivy The Kiwi was first released on Windows mobile devices in Japan, November of last year. It was originally being developed for the Wii and DS by Xseed, the developer behind Ys Seven, then midway through the DS development they ported it to the Windows Mobile platform. This month it finally is coming to its’ native Nintendo platforms.
