Wii Resident Evil Shooters Headed to PS3

In September, Capcom released brand new HD versions of Resident Evil 4 (review here) and Code Veronica (review here) for PS3 and 360. Today Capcom announced two more Resident Evil’s a re getting an HD-revision, in the form of Resident Evil Chronicles: HD Selection.  The new compilation packages together the series’s two previously Wii-exclusive light gun-style shooters, The Umbrella Chronicles and The Darkside Chronicles, and upscales them both passed the Wii’s limited 480p resolution and makes them available in true 1080p HD resolution for the first time.

PS3′s Killzone 3 Receives Lukewarm Reviews

Killzone 3, launched recently by Sony for the PS3 is seen as a very big advancement in the genre of first person shooters and science fiction combat games. The game can be played in stereoscopic 3D using the new PlayStation Move motion sensing controller to provide an experience in immersive reality gaming which hasn’t been witnessed before. However, even while these features make the experience and feel of the game an innovation, they don’t quite make up for the shortcomings of the game in the other fields.

This may be great news for all you lazybones out there. The Beefier hard drive model of the PS3 slim that was originally only available with the Move contraption, is now available without $50 steal of having the Move included, lucky you. It was rumoured for a while whether the 320GB Slim would be coming out soon and since that was confirmed for $399, they have since launched this more questionable offer.

Sony Launches an Anti-Kinect Site

Sony, being the clever people they are, decided to push their button-filled motion device by bashing it’s competition. This is certainly not something new for Sony as they have also gone against the Wii and iPhone in a similar fashion. If you are curious to see their genius in action head on over to www.yaybuttons.com and check it out for yourself. It is essentially an interactive picture of the Move controller that displays a quote every time you click on one of the buttons. Some of the quotes might seems a little silly if you were to view the page on a touch screen interface, but it’s still amusing.

Demo Disc Content for Playstation Move Listed

With the Move controllers soon upon us, the excitement is building for some and they may be curious what is coming in the box before it’s opened. Well, we can tell you what is coming on the demo disk at the very least, which will be packed with the PlayStation Move Console Bundle or PlayStation 3 Sports Champions Move Bundle. It’s a pretty mixed bag of games, it reminds me of the old days of the original Playstation that came packed with demo discs, I thought those days were over.

Ubisoft: Motion Controllers Won’t Extend Current Console Cycle

Both Microsoft and Sony are placing great hopes on their Kinect and Move motion controllers, but Ubisoft doesn’t seem to share their optimism.

When asked if he believes that either Kinect or Move would extend the current console cycle beyond another 24 months, Ubisoft European MD Alain Corre’s answer was a simple “I don’t think so, no.”
