Nintendo’s latest RPG Pokemon Black and White has set a new franchise record in terms of sales since their release two days ago on the 6th of March. The response of Pokemon fans on the release of the fifth generation offering in the brand by Nintendo can only be called overwhelming. Nintendo today announced that following Pokemon Black and White’s US launch on Sunday, the games have set a new sales record. The game’s two versions have reportedly sold a total of more than 1.08 million copies within only the first 24 hours of being released.
3DS Software Line Up Video
This year, at Nintendo World someone was nice enough to shoot a Television screen for four and a half minutes that happens to show off many of the games that are coming to the 3DS platform this year. Similar video have been removed already so if this one does go down then we do apologize. It seems Nintendo does not want to show the world the host of amazing titles coming for the 3D capable handheld.

After Kingdom Heart II was over many gamers were likely craving more Disney, RPG action and perhaps those same people missed out on the 2008 mobile game, Kingdom Hearts: Coded. So, before Sora gets his 3D outing on the 3DS, sometime much later next year, you will have Re:Coded to continue the story of KH 2 Next January.
3DS Launch Date Accidentally Leaked
A recent Twitter update from a third-party accessories maker for the Nintendo 3DS could have accidentally let slip the Japanese release date for the Nintendo 3DS.
“On November 20th, the 11 goods I designed for use with the 3DS will go on sale simultaneously. Those of you buying the 3DS, please buy them while you’re at it! This will be officially announced on the homepage eventually, lol. Best regards.”

Golden Sun Dark Dawn Release Date and Trailer
GBA RPGers of years past will likely remember the Golden Sun series with a tinge of nostalgia, it was a revolution for the Gameboy Advance, as it was one of the first to show of 3D style graphics on the handheld. Now you can create some nostalgic memories again with the upcoming Dark Dawn, a Golden Sun game that takes place 30 years after the events of the first games. It probably feels like it has been 30 years since The Lost Age came out, for the fans at least, and there have been many rumours and fakes mentioned in previous years to fuel the fires of doubt that this game would ever be released.
Harry Potter–A Harcore Kinect Game
“EA wields its magic, adding Kinect mode to its upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 Videogame”, That is how the title to the recent press release reads. This was announced at The Beginning of Gamescom this year, and to some it may be quite a big announcement. The first thing that popped into my head when I read the press release was a similar Game that is coming to the PS Move, named Sorcery , which is being touted as a hardcore game for the upcoming motion controller. The lacklustre line-up for the Kinect seemed to be swaying gamers away from the device and this may a way to reel some of them back.
Big List of Awesome Nintendo Release Dates
Some of the dates came as a surprise to me, considering E3 just happened, or so it feels that way. October and November are going to be expensive months for me, and possibly December if that happens to be the Epic Mickey release date. If you were curious, I am most excited for games involving Kirby, DK, Goldeneyes and Final Fantasy. These were all announced at Gamescom this year, enjoy.
Play.com Leaked 3DS Price
Play.com is a popular UK online retailer for electronics and on the recently viewed section of their site there is a little surprise. The 3DS is listed in two colours, both black and blue, and also has a price of £199.99 which equates to around $300USD. Now whether this is going to be the actual price or just simply a placeholder, it certainly does give a better insight into the possible price. I do think that is probably very close to what the actual price will be considering this is quite a powerful piece of hardware considering it does glasses-free 3D and have a graphics engine to rival the PSP and iPhone. At the very least I would pinpoint the price to be around $250, likely more.
Ivy The Kiwi Coming to Nintendo Platforms
Ivy The Kiwi was first released on Windows mobile devices in Japan, November of last year. It was originally being developed for the Wii and DS by Xseed, the developer behind Ys Seven, then midway through the DS development they ported it to the Windows Mobile platform. This month it finally is coming to its’ native Nintendo platforms.
Sonic Colours’ Gameplay Trailer
The Sonic for those that don’t like side-scrolling Sonic games finally has a release date. This more unique take on the Sonic franchise looks to be something for all audiences, unless you liked grizzly bear sonic. It is being targeted for at children with its brighter colours and also it’s Wii and DS release to deter some of those ‘hardcore’ gamers.
Here is the story as presented by Sega:
Old Pokemon Not Playable Until The End in Black & White
You may have spoken the phrase “Go Pikachu!”, or any number of familiar pocket monsters that you all too excitedly shouted out while battle away in your favourite variation of the series. Now, it looks like you will have to wait until the very end of the game to return to the creatures you have held so close to your heart for so many years.
GameFreak’s Junichi Masuda recently mentioned on his blog that, only after completing the main story in Black & White would you be able to catch ‘em all. The game was designed so only the monsters from this generation would appear until the games story was completed, as to give new and old gamers the same sense of discovery. This way when you are playing pokemon with your dad, as most grown men do, and discover a shapeless form with a derivative name, you can now feel excited like you did back in the Red and Blue days.
