Hot Pursuit American Tour

Hot Pursuit American Tour

EA has Announced Need for Speed Hot Pursuit On Tour, a seven-city event that will take this year’s most anticipated racing game to the fans before its release in November. Each stop on the tour will take place at a popular local venue, featuring well-known musical artists, and will showoff some of the world’s sexiest exotic cars, including a one-of-a-kind Lamborghini cop car. Those who attend will be the lucky few to get their hands on this game before anyone else.

Hot Pursuit on Tour kicked off July 14th at the Manhattan Classic Car Club in New York City, headlined by DJ Z-Trip. It then continues on to Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Miami, and ends on Hot Pursuit launch day in Los Angeles, November 16th. To attend any of these events you will need to register soon because space is limited.

Fable 3 Villager Maker

Fable 3 Villager Maker

Remember the Dragon Age character creator Bioware released before their game? Well this is kind of like that, except you can’t actually play as the villagers you make in this nifty tool. It’s a fairly deep creator for such a simple tool. First you must go to the website and log in to xbox.com with your Live ID and start creating.

6 New Songs Announced for Rock Band 3

6 New Songs Announced for Rock Band 3

This is probably old news to those for those who follow Harmonix on Twitter and even less exciting to those of you who were actually at Comic-Con this year but it is some exciting news, for me at least. The following six songs were announced by the Harmonix staff and I already can’t wait to play at least 3 of them. Here they are in no particular order:

News Unleashed for Force Unleashed 2

News Unleashed for Force Unleashed 2

At Comic-Con this year some nice chaps from Lucas Arts were there to show off some new Star Wars: TFU gameplay action. Before I get into the Nitty-gritty, I must first admit I have only played a demo of the first game so I had little knowledge of the story, though I am assuming that it falls somewhere in the Star Wars Universe. It was mentioned that this takes place somewhere in between Episode III and IV of the movies. They played it live on stage to really allow everyone to get a feel for the game. Here is what I got out of it:

Halo: Reach “Battle Begins” Campaign Trailer

Halo: Reach “Battle Begins” Campaign Trailer

After the Halo: Reach beta wrapped up in May, many questions surrounding the game had been answered, and even more questions began to pop up. After having a 3 week vacation in the Multiplayer world of Reach, the Campaign was left to be nothing but a mystery. With the overload of Reach news that was announced during comic-con, its hard to believe that Bungie still had something for us to chew on this week. “Battle Begins” was released today, and gives a great taste of what is to come in Bungie’s last Halo campaign.

Major League Gaming Already Using Halo:Reach in 2010

With Forge World and a massive amount of other customization options that have been revealed and exposed surrounding Halo Reach, it is quite clear why MLG would be utilizing these options as soon as possible. For those who are unaware MLG stands for Major League Gaming, and they have specialized in competitive Halo tournaments for the last 10 years.

MLG has always used the latest Bungie iteration as there flagship competitive console title. Bungie over the years has done an excellent job with blending community feedback and solid gameplay to make for the best competitive play possible.

SDCC: Dragon Age II: Hands On

SDCC: Dragon Age II: Hands On

Being the resident RPG fanatic here at IGXPro I have to say I was beyond ecstatic to be able to lay my hands on the sequel to my favourite game of 2009. Today I finally set aside the time at Comic-Con to wander over to the Hilton Hotel where they had demo stations set up of both Dragon Age II and Dead Space 2, and waited in line for my chance to play.

All of us in line were huddled into a room with red curtain-covered walls and classy-looking clear plastic chairs which were centred in front of HD screens displaying the DA2 logo screen, ready to be played. I had to hold back picking up the controller and getting right into it since we first had to be introduced to the game via the lead game designer. He  explained that the scope of the game is about three to four times larger than the first game and many of the complaints had been fixed. Then he played through the demo first to show us what to expect and how to use some of the new features. Now Our turn.
