According to some job listing through Medal of Honor developers Danger Close, the future of the franchise will have some pretty powerful tech running things on the back end. Little has been seen so far using the Frostbite 2 engine, but DICE has noted in all previews that this is next gen tech on current gen hardware. There is going to be a heavy focus on lighting, sound, and destruction.

Medal of Honor – DLC Next Week – Some Free…Some Not
Medal of Honor got off to a rocky start in a crucial time of the year for game releases. With unfavorable reviews right out of the gate, EA has been quick to report that DLC is on the way for those who purchased the game and redeemed their one time use code. On top of the free premium DLC, their will be some pay for content being released the same day. The content will cost $9.99 and will be available multi platform, the DLC will include a few different modes and maps. Some maps that are already available since launch will have alternate versions released, sounds like what DICE does with the Battlefield maps, and of course their are some brand new maps and modes as well.

Medal of Honor Sets Franchise Pre-Sale Record
Medal of Honor has set a new franchise record, hitting the highest number of pre-sell units in the franchise’s 11-year history. This milestone positions Medal of Honor alongside EA’s top pre-selling action games, and there is still one week remaining until the game hits retails shelves on Oct. 12. Set in war-torn Afghanistan. The game introduces players to the Tier 1 Operator, an elite warrior and relatively unknown instrument of the U.S. Military that operates under the National Command Authority to take on missions no one else can handle.
Taliban Renamed to “Opposing Forces” in Medal of Honor Multiplayer
A few weeks ago Gamestops located near military or army area’s announced they would not be selling the new Medal of Honor game due to the fact that you can play as the taliban in the mulitplayer. So EA has now decided to change the name from “Taliban” to “Opposing Forces”… smooth. Greg Goodrich executive producer on Medal of Honor had this to say “There was lots of debate back and forth about this The fundamental game hasn’t changed, it’s still the same. We made this change while maintaining the integrity of the game.
Medal of Honor PC Recruiting for Open Beta
Normally, when a Medal of Honor is awarded, it’s not just taken away from you right after. Next month will see an exception of sorts, as Electronic Arts will be giving PC gamers an open beta for its first-person shooter Medal of Honor, but pulling the plug on the testing period after only four days.

No Sequel To Medal Of Honor If Sales Are Under 3 Million!
Electronic Arts is soon releasing the new Medal of Honor game for all the fans of the game.
However, they have made it very clear that if the game gets under 3 million copies sold they will not be making any sequels to the game. We don’t know for sure but it seems like the budget for the game is very high so they need to earn their money back. They have hired Linkin Park for the soundtrack for the game and have even booked sound recording at an army base.
Medal of Honor Multiplayer Gameplay
For all of you eagerly waiting for Medal of Honor to be released on October 12th, heres a little multiplayer footage. Its titled “High Value Target”, by the looks of things they are trying to escort tanks through a war torn airfield. Just from the look of the game play, it looks like EA found a way to keep the multiplayer as intense as Battlefield Bad Company 2 with gun play similar to Modern Warfare 2.
