Before your friday night slips away into whatever badass game you are playing, here is the latest trailer for Mass Effect 3. This trailer, titled “Special Forces”, is focusing purely on the multiplayer offering coming up for the first time in Mass Effect 3.
EA has two big action RPG’s coming out this winter: Bioware’s Mass Effect 3 and 38 Studios’ Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. While the sci-fi epic and the fantasy hack-and-slash might not seem like the most compatible material for a cross-over, EA has announced some incentives for players who try to demos for both games:
Clint Mansell, a composer who you may not know by name, but by the work he has done in films such as Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler, all of which were critically acclaimed, is now on board to do some music for a critically acclaimed game, Mass Effect 3. The best part about this news is that he is not the only high profile composer working on this game.
As you may know, the script to Mass Effect 3 was leaked. Co-founders of BioWare Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk said that the leak of the game will be a positive thing if it generates interest in the sci-fi epic series. Muzyka said “In the big picture, some more stories are generated around it and more interest in the game. We’re really proud with how it’s shaping up. It’s going to be the best Mass Effect yet.”
Well, we actually didn’t have to wait until Wednesday to get full info on the sizzling topic of the week. After BioWare announced earlier this week that its latest installment to their popular Action Role-Playing title was going to be launched with Multiplayer game modes, the gaming world has been on a frenzy since then.

Bioware has been hinting at a large announcement for their Sci-fi, RPG, shooter, that is set to drop October 25th in the latest issue of XBox world. It has been speculated that that announcement will be the multiplayer component of Mass Effect 3. The case for it is growing stronger as a pre-order bonus has been discovered that mentions an online multiplayer pass.
BioWare is known for one thing, and that is making fantastic games which high levels of character customization and the ability to play that character with their own personality. Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights both being huge hits because of their solid gameplay and writing.
EA does not like to play fair when it comes to money, this has been shown in other ways such as online passes, and now it seems they are going to try and control the digital market by releasing the best edition of Mass Effect 3 on their Origin download service only. This was not the case with Mass Effect 2 which was available on Steam and other downloadable services.
It seems that graphics have come full circle and have become so close to reality that it is actually cheaper to hire actors to do a trailer than to actually pay rendering artists to create it. Not only that, but people do like to see real life interpretations of their favourite video games, so Bioware brings you a trailer that almost does that. It’s a collection of news casts that follow the evens of the attack on Earth that is set to take place in the third installment of the Mass Effect series.
Not only did the fact that the Xbox version of Mass Effect 3 will feature Kinect support come out of E3, but EA also announced the details of the Collectors Edition of the game. So following the break is the details on the Mass Effect N7 Collector’s edition that is set to be released March 6th 2012 for the affordable price of $80.
