There is nothing worse then having a save deleted or corrupt after spending tens of hours on a game. Unfortunately, the Playstation 3 version of Mass Effect 2 does just that out of no where and for no apparent reason.
What do you do when a game makes an appearance on everyones “Game of the Year” lists? You start selling the expansion for large discounts creating a “Mass Effect” in everyone’s saves accounts… (sorry for that one)
Today’s Xbox 360 “Countdown to 2011″ deal is on Mass Effect 2′s adds-ons, “Lair of the Shadow Broker,” “Overlord,” and “Kasumi.” They’re a measly 200 MS Points a piece, which means even if you pick up the worst of the batch (arguably “Kasumi,” by most accounts), you’re getting a good deal.

This week has been busy in the world of Bioware and Mass Effect. The long awaited installment on the PS3 was finally given a proper release date, and speculation of the continuation in the series has begun. First thing is first, Mass Effect will be hitting PS3 on January 18th and looks to be a full package. All DLC will be launched along the game in order to ensure that the whole ME2 can be experienced regardless of when you jumped into the series. Mass Effect 2 exists amongst the best of the best when it comes to current Xbox 360 games, so I can only hope that the same reception makes it way cross console.
Looks like BioWare and Microsoft have announced the next instalment of downloadable content that will hit the XBLA this september. For 800 points you will be able to explore Illium and discover the secret lair of the Shadowbroker. New research options will be made available and five new achievements will be rewarded upon playing through the new content. Get ready to hop back on board the Normandy on September 7th for both PC and Xbox 360.
It had long been speculated that the immensely popular Mass Effect would eventually make it’s way to Playstation 3 in some form. It turns out it will be in the form of a sequel and with some upgrades. This information was announced yesterday at Gamescom, in Germany, with some mixed reactions I am sure. As far as the bonus content that will be included on the single Blu-ray disc, it has yet to be announced. I would guess that is the free content that came with the collectors edition version of the Xbox 360 version and perhaps another piece of DLC for free, to make it worth that wait for those Playstion 3 only owners out there.
