After strong sales of the The Force Unleashed 2 video game, it only makes sense that Lucas Arts would continue ahead with DLC to appease the mass craving for more. What better location to use the force than Andor, during the same time period of as the Return of the Jedi film. Gio Gorsi, executive producer at Lucas Arts compares it to original Force Unleased’s DLC by saying “we like to call this an “infinite storyline”, much like the Hoth Bonus Mission from the first Force Unleashed game that gave us an alternate take on that iconic battle from the Empire Strikes Back.”

Star Wars video games have been notorious for being hit or miss in recent years, we all have fond memories of growing up with titles like Battlefront and Rogue Squadron, but something has been missing these days. Let me tell you, Force Unleashed 2 is what us Star Wars fans have been missing in the gaming realm, this game already in Demo form feels fantastic.

When E3 rolled around a few weeks ago, I was hoping that Star Wars: Battle Front 3 would finally be revealed/confirmed, but I was wrong. Regardless, Lucas Arts has continued another Star Wars gaming franchise with Force Unleashed 2. This game so far looks fantastic, the first game was memorable for most Star Wars fans, but there was clearly room to grow with the gameplay.
Recent gameplay reveals, media coverage, and trailers have unveiled a wide variety of exciting new details. To summarize, the overall gameplay has been tightened and refined to play more precisely and to encourage gameplay variety. Below are listed some features that have stood out to make this game a worthy sequel.
-Dual lightsaber action to dignify Force unleashed 2
-Improved animations and new combos
-Camera and targeting systems are more intuitive and intelligent.
-Varied enemies some able to deflect lightsabers, others wield carbonite guns.
-Lighting and animations look smooth and natural, overall graphical improvement.
This sequel looks like it has made steps in all the right directions to ensure that Star Wars games are not just a franchise cash grab, but more of a way of proving how deep and interesting the Star Wars universe truly is.
