Fallout MMO Development Can Now Continue

These days it seems like every vaguely popular franchise is getting it’s own MMO — Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Star Wars, DC Universe, hell, even Hello Kitty — so it’s kind of weird that some franchises that would be perfectly suited to becoming MMO’s (*cough*Pokemon*cough*) haven’t made the jump online yet.  Now, after years of legal disputes and court cases, Fallout may be making the long-awaited jump into the MMO market, now that publisher Interplay has won a court case against fellow Fallout publisher/developer Bethesda.

Fallout: Interplay Or Bethesda

With the release of Fallout New Vegas just around the corner, we’re left to think about how this amazing franchise was brought to us and what brilliant minds created the incredible series that dominates the gaming world.

Although the most recent instalment into the series wasn’t the same game style or company it has been the most successful of them all. Fallout 3 was developed and created by Bethesda studios (Yes the ones behind Oblivion) they brought their own twist to the series. The only issue is that Bethesda Studios has created another game to add to the series even though Interplay Entertainment (The original creators of Fallout 1 and 2) is also making a new Fallout game which is going to be an MMO. So will Interplay Entertainment take Fallout back to its original gameplay, or stick with the much loved way Bethesda presented it?
