The Playstation Move is quickly being perceived as a runner-up to Kinect in the HD motion control wars, whether that is true or not Sony hopes to change that by retroactively adding support to popular Playstation 3 titles. This has already been with LittleBigPlanet 2. Infamous 2 and the forthcoming, vampire spin-off title, Festival of Blood will receive the ability to use the Move controller this fall.
Infamous 2, the sequel to the Playstation exclusive franchise, had been released in stores on June 7 in North America and was planned to hit the Playstation Store around the same time. The hackers that downed the whole PSN are to blame for this lengthy delay in digital release.
Those who have played the first inFAMOUS game may have already discovered that Cole is not as his maximum potential, which he needs to achieve to defeat the ultimate challenge he has yet to face. Though it was made to seem that Cole could gain no more power by the end of the game this is not true. Sunker Punch has some story-driven tricks up their sleep for the sequel.
Oh Amazon, full of so many great items for cheaper than in stores and tax free. However, I am sure plenty of companies get angry at them when they post a product and forget to push that little “hide” button so leaks such as this happen all too often. The details posted show that the hero edition of inFAMOUS 2 will come packed with a 8.5″ statue of protagonist Cole and a code redeemable for in-game power perks and the most amazing item of all, an official InFAMOUS fanny pack.
As some of you may be aware, the awesome 2D comic book style cut-scenes from inFAMOUS have returned in inFAMOUS 2, only much better looking this time around. After the break is one of the early cut-scenes from the game, “Welcome to New Marais” – which is the introduction to Cole’s new playground, which premiered at Eurogamer Expo 2010.
So we mentioned last month about Coles new look, to appeal to us adults, now you can finally see that new look with your own two eyeballs. The trailer is essentially a single moment frozen as the camera pans around showing off the ensuing chaos, to an interesting track. The reason I used ‘sot of’ in the title is simply because this is the in game engine running here and it does look amazing, but there really isn’t much play going on. Though there is a few seconds of action as the action is unfrozen and you see Cole amassing destruction. Thanks to the Playstation Blog for the video. This may end up being GOTY 2011.
Infamous 2 was really a great looking game that PlayStation showcased at E3. Bringing back Cole with a cool new hipster look, like one of those cool French parkour guys. Oh wait, they aren’t cool! At least that’s what I thought, and apparently so did all the other fans of Infamous. In fact, people disliked Coles new look so much that Sucker Punch Production have since decided to change his appearance to be more like his original look. Who would have thought that if you complain enough on the Internet, the companies would actually listen? It seems developers are actually using forums and gaming sites to help fix or evolve their games.
