Firefox Adopts New Rapid Release Cycle, Releases Firefox 5 Beta

Yesterday, Mozilla released a beta version of its Firefox web browser. This is the first offering from the company’s new quick release plan which is aimed at offering new features to web developers and the browser users sooner than they normally are. The most talked about new feature in Firefox 5 beta is the support for CSS animations in the browser.

FireFox 4 First Look

FireFox 4 First Look

Upon first install of Firefox 4 beta 3 codenamed: “Minefield” you will notice right away that they have simply thrown away what Firefox was and totally reinvented it.

Firstly, the look, as you will see it looks similar to Google’s Chrome browser which is very simplistic but perfect as there is nothing to clutter your screen and allow you to browse without hiccups. Secondly, they have added a progress circle so you can see how far a webpage is loaded without going to the tab which I found very useful with more then 30 tabs open.
