These days it seems like every vaguely popular franchise is getting it’s own MMO — Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Star Wars, DC Universe, hell, even Hello Kitty — so it’s kind of weird that some franchises that would be perfectly suited to becoming MMO’s (*cough*Pokemon*cough*) haven’t made the jump online yet. Now, after years of legal disputes and court cases, Fallout may be making the long-awaited jump into the MMO market, now that publisher Interplay has won a court case against fellow Fallout publisher/developer Bethesda.

The first piece of downloadable content is being released this upcoming Tuesday and is looking like it will be a lot of fun. For those of you that have been playing the crap out of New Vegas this will give you some fresh material to play through. Fallout: New Vegas – Bethesda Reports Patch is Already on the Way – Glitches Resolved
Almost as soon a Fallout: New Vegas hit store shelves, many respected game reviewers in the community commonly reported on two points that continue to service about the new wasteland adventure, its a great game, and unfortunately its filled with minor glitches.
Bethesda was quick to report that a patch is being put together ASAP, and should resolve many of the minor gameplay glitches.

Finally, what all us gamers have been asking for, more outlet specific pre-order bonuses, so we have to consider where we buy our game from, I am so excited. In case you are oblivious that was sarcasm, but Bethesda must think this is how we feel, considering it’s recently announced list of bonuses, all of which seem awesome, but buying 4 versions of the game is not. Here is all your options, choose wisely, unless of course you are sneaky enough to be able to get the pre-oder bonus without actually paying in full for the game.
QuakeCon 2010 Kicks Off August 12-15th
Widely recognized as the Woodstock of gaming, QuakeCon kicks off tomorrow and runs for three days. Open free to the public with open support for mass lan play (bring your gaming rig), this truey is the largest lan party of the year. Quakecon is used as an excellent way to show off the latest in gaming technology and showcase any games that are being developed by affiliated studios.
Fallout: Interplay Or Bethesda
With the release of Fallout New Vegas just around the corner, we’re left to think about how this amazing franchise was brought to us and what brilliant minds created the incredible series that dominates the gaming world.
Although the most recent instalment into the series wasn’t the same game style or company it has been the most successful of them all. Fallout 3 was developed and created by Bethesda studios (Yes the ones behind Oblivion) they brought their own twist to the series. The only issue is that Bethesda Studios has created another game to add to the series even though Interplay Entertainment (The original creators of Fallout 1 and 2) is also making a new Fallout game which is going to be an MMO. So will Interplay Entertainment take Fallout back to its original gameplay, or stick with the much loved way Bethesda presented it?
