Bungie had recently placed a copyright for Aerospace, which many thought was relating to the new game they are working on for PS3, while Bungie is still hiring PS3 developers the title to be worked on is not yet known. Bungie did announce that Aerospace is most definitely not a game, but it is a new program to help indie mobile developers get recognition for their work.

For the past 10 years Bungie has been releasing games on the Xbox, Halo has cemented their name and brand in the world of video games and as of last year Bungie is moving on to bigger better things. Until now details regarding their 10 year deal with Activision has been very quite, other than some light hinting last year at GDC where Bungies Joseph Statten said “Wouldn’t it be great if we could make a world that’s was always there for you?”. Kinda sounds like an MMO eh? Well it looks like our speculations might not be that far off.
Halo: Reach – Defiant Map Pack – Coming in March and Welcome Back Certain Affinity
Hello everybody, its my favorite thing in the world time….new Halo content! Thats right, Bungie, Microsoft, and more importantly Certain Affinity officially announced the upcoming release of the Defiant Map Pack for Halo: Reach. This will be the first map pack released for Reach from another studio other then Bungie. Certain Affinity has done some fantastic work in the past, and have worked with games like Halo 2, Left 4 Dead, World at War, and many other popular competitive shooters. Certain Affinity was founded by a 10 year Bungie veteran, so be sure that the maps and Reach are in great hands.

Halo: Reach – January Playlist Updates – Community Maps Galore
What a better way to start off a new year of Halo: Reach then to update and modify the playlists. Bungie has implemented a variety of changes, additions, and modifications to existing and new playlists. The most notable change would have to be the addition of a “Community Slayer” playlist, these games will use all community created maps and leave them untouched. The maps that receive high voting over a trial period will rise to the top and maintain there place in regular rotation.

Bungie began their week with a proper video walk through of Anchor 9, they have continued the promo today with more footage on the upcoming DLC launching next week. These maps are beginning to look really polished, and look like they are going to promote some excellent gameplay. Noble map pack seems to have a little bit for everyone, whether you are looking for small arena maps, large team environments, or a new invasion space Bungie provides on all fronts.

Bungie News – Looking for Future Beta and Alpha Testers – The Future is Amongst Us
Bungie has a great track record for ensuring quality control with their products, and this has more recently been shown by both Halo: Reach and Halo 3 having open public beta’s. According to recent updates on Bungie.net this trend of open testing is not going away any time soon, as long as you have registered as a member on Bungie.net you could end up being one of the few hundred thousand gamers to test future products.

Halo: Reach – Matchmaking Update and Campaign Matchmaking – October 19th
As promised before launch, Bungie unveiled another playlist on friday in Halo: Reach that will accommodate all gamers who wish to play through any campaign level through Xbox Live. Its nice to be able to play through an epic campaign with gamers beyond the likes of your own friends list. Upon entering the playlist you have an opportunity to vote on the appropriate difficulty level, just in case you either want to take it easy or grind a legendary mission. Bungie has stated that this playlist wasn’t available right away at launch in order to keep gamers from accidentally hoping into the end of the game pre maturely, the game is over a month old now and its time to have some fun apparently. This playlist is live now!
