Borderlands Update Coming Soon and With Awesome Features
Do any of you remember when Gearbox released new DLC for Borderlands, but did not raise the level cap at launch so it kind of gave most player no incentive to play the content?
Well I do, but it turns out it may have been for the better. New details have been released about the upcoming update which will raise the level cap and add in enemy scaling. More details will be listed below:
Get Early Access to Duke Nukem Forever With Borderlands GotY
This news comes right from OnLives official website, which is both great and terrible thing. If you are one of the people that are part of this growing community, using the OnLive Game service then you will be familiar with how it works. If you have now jumped into cloud gaming or weren’t aware it existed then perhaps now is the time to take the dive, so you can enjoy HD gaming without upgrading to a new PC every year. But I am not here to talk about OnLive, I am here to tell you how it will help you get expedient access to the Duke.
Borderlands – “Robo Revolution” New DLC is Live
This is just a quick reminder to al Borderlands fans, Claptraps new “Robo Revolution” went live yesterday on your appropriate downloadable service for $9.99 and using about 1.5 GB of space. By the looks of things the level cap raise has not yet been implemented with the new content, but it should be shortly behind the DLC release.
Borderlands DLC Dated and Level Cap Raised
During the Gearbox panel at PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) They gave a release date of September 28th for the fourth downloadable add on for Borderlands. Along with the new DLC for Borderlands they will also be releasing a patch to raise the level cap from 61 to 69, this will also effect those who did not purchase The Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC raising their caps from 51 to 69 . Gearbox has not given a release date for the patch but they are aiming for one near that of the new DLC. Sounds like Gearbox had a fantastic panel at PAX this year. Setting a release date for this DLC, annoucning a raising of the level cap and showing off gameplay of the upcoming Duke Nukem Forever (Finally)!!
Borderlands DLC Confirmed Next Month – Robo Revolution
After some speculation last week, it turns out the Gearbox is releasing new downloadable content next month called “Clap Trap’s New Robot Revolution”. It looks like Claptrap and his potential minions are back and badder then ever, this DLC will be welcomed will much grace by the massive amount of hardcore Borderlands fans that are still out their eagerly waiting more content. Looks like the content will role out in September for $9.99, below are a couple pictures to give a taste of what’s to come.
Duke Nukem + Borderlands Developer = Awesome
Well the title pretty much sums up what going on here, it is rumoured that Gearbox Software has acquired “Duke Nukem Forever” the long awaited continuation in the Duke Nukem franchise. Keep in mind this title has been in production with 3d Realms since 1997, earlier this year Take Two (publisher) shut down the project due to contract breach after the game had not released on time.
Any fan of Duke could really care less when the game comes out at this point, it is however great to see that the game is alive and well in rumour form. This would have been a tragic loss to many of our childhood fps gaming memories. Who better to end up with the game any way, Gearbox reinvented themselves with the release of Borderlands last year and look to be a natural fit to carry on the legacy of such a charismatic and sarcastically funny hero.
Borderlands DLC Info Leaked
While an avid Borderlands user was scavenging through the recent PC patch, he happened to stumble across some interesting source code. Found amongst the patch was a slue of details pertaining to the future installment of Borderlands DLC. With three DLC packages already released I assumed a sequel would be announced before more DLC but this is great news.
