A whole ago, Activision and Treyarch released an iOS game called Call of Duty: World at War zombies which did so well they announced that tomorrow (December 1st) you can get your hands on their next installment with Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies.
As per an agreement between Microsoft and Activision all Black Ops DLC will be released on the Xbox 360 first. The latest batch of maps, four zombie maps, will be released August 23 and will be titled Rezurrection( I suppose the ‘z’ was to emphasize the multitude of zombie maps).
This September thousands of Call of Duty fans will get the ultimate experience(XP) at a convention built around the franchise that has become hugely popular. Modern Warfare 3 will be one of the many ‘experiences’ to be had at this LA based convention, but it seems to be on par with the other events to appear at the two day show.
For many the Escalation Map Pack is likely getting old already, especially if you just bought it for the new Zombies map, but Treyarch and Activision have your back. Four new multiplayer maps as well as a new zombie map are making their way to a marketplace near you June 28th on Xbox Live.
As you all know by now Playstation Network being offline has left everyone frustrated and angry at Sony on how this has all been dealt with and now they are lashing back. As reports show an increased amount of Playstation 3 owners trading in their consoles for a shiny new Xbox 360. Since for many, online play is one of the only ways they can be social so they would rather pay for online play then have none at all.
The Call of the Dead along with four new maps launch to many awaiting COD fans tomorrow, and judging by the trailers we are in for a serious party. The maps look like they are full of variety and range, and the zombie map looks to raise the bar even higher then ever before. Not to mention George A Romero, the godfather of all things zombie, has leant his hand at preparing the story and direction for Call of the Dead.
Treyarch has released a short developer diary/trailer for the upcoming installment of Black Ops DLC. This trailer provides a brief rundown of each of the four new multiplayer maps, and does not touch on the new “Call of the Dead” zombie map. I imagine zombies will be getting their own trailer in the next few days.
What does the largest selling video game of all time need…more maps and goodies according to Activision. Arriving this May will be a fresh batch of new Black Ops maps, and a patch for PC players to allow the use of modding tools.
If you have been caught up in other releases, it may be time to toss Black Ops back in the disc tray. Double EXP can be earned all weekend starting today and ends Monday morning. Now would be a great time to acquire those First Strike maps if you haven’t already, and catch up on some serious rank boosting.
With the first installment of Black Ops DLC showing up this week, it’s no wonder that Treyarch is spreading the love on all platforms with a Double EXP weekend. The multiplayer madness begins on Friday and will run all weekend, I imagine the new maps will be worked into a new playlist, so at least you will have an opportunity play the four new maps and rank up along the way.
The first map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops will be hitting the Xbox Live marketplace February 1st, and it’s looking to be quite promising. This map pack will include four new multiplayer maps and one zombie map all for 1200 Microsoft Points. This map pack will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 for the first month or so then it will be released to the PC and PS3 community. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think!
Slowly more and more PS3 owners are signing a petition to get a full refund from activision for the purchase of Call of Duty: Black Ops. According to the upset gamers the PS3 “can equal and/or outperform the Xbox 360 on many levels”, yet Black Ops on Sony’s console features “sub-par graphics, buggy software and less features” then the 360 edition. This was brought to attention recently when Digital Foundry claimed that Black Ops is “clearly superior-looking” on the 360.
