After Blizzard Entertainment scrapped their Starcraft II follow-up to the popular Warcraft III mod – Defense of the Ancients, Valve’s own full size take on the genre and successor to the mod is going full steam ahead. The change of plans to the release of DOTA 2 was announced earlier today on Valve’s official DOTA 2 blog saying that Valve has reconsidered the original release plans for the Action Real-Time Strategy game and is now looking to for an earlier launch.

Gears of War 3 – Beta Impressions and Feedback
I have always loved Gears of War, it was the game that made me proud to own an Xbox 360 back in 2006. It was filled with so many new things that I had never done in a game before. It was gritty, dark, brutal, gorry, and of course…epic. It brought a new tone and pace to the world of action shooters and cemented new game mechanics that are now around every corner.
Darkspore[Beta] Review — Diablo in Space
I would like to start off this review with a brief disclaimer: The review itself is based off of a Beta version of the game so this review will not include bugs or technical issues with the game and will instead focus only on the gameplay. I would just like to let those know that didn’t get a chance to play the game what to expect when the game launches next month.
Bungie News – Looking for Future Beta and Alpha Testers – The Future is Amongst Us
Bungie has a great track record for ensuring quality control with their products, and this has more recently been shown by both Halo: Reach and Halo 3 having open public beta’s. According to recent updates on Bungie.net this trend of open testing is not going away any time soon, as long as you have registered as a member on Bungie.net you could end up being one of the few hundred thousand gamers to test future products.
Medal of Honor Beta Testing – Available Now on Xbox 360
Beta testing these days has become more and more common after the problems that arose after the launch of Modern Warfare 2. For instance Dice, the studio responsible for Medal of Honor multiplayer, and the Battlefield series has done an excellent job of providing testing for both Battlefield Bad Company 2 and now Medal of Honor this year.
Until now, Medal of Honor beta testing has only been happening on PS3 and PC. When this public testing was announced at E3, EA was sure to include Xbox users in the test even though it took a little extra time to make it happen. After all there have been plenty Xbox exclusive releases well before other platforms, so every now and then the tables turn I guess.
So if you have not pre-ordered this game, now might be the time. Upon pre-ordering you will be provided a code in which you then register on the beta website. In case you have missed details on the re vamped Medal of Honor game on its way, let me just say it looks to a beautiful blend of both worlds from Call of Duty and Battlefield. If you have spent any time this year with either of those games, I recommend you give this game and the beta some love, because calling it a copy cat of other shooters doesn’t quite cut it.
