Downloadable titles, I personally feel, are the future of how console gamers will digest their games. With consoles every year offering hard drives with more available space, the ability to save a full game locally and play off the hard drive is inevitable.
In case you may not have noticed, Batmam: Arkham City may have provided you lucky Batman lovers with some beta time for the upcoming Gotham City Impostors. Turns out that the beta will launch sometime in December, and the release date is only a month to follow. Gotham City Impostors will be available January 10th 2012, this is a downloadable title as well.
Valve has announced the first Beta test for their highly anticipated Counter Strike sequel, subtitled Global Offensive (a.k.a. CS Go,) has been delayed in order to address issues and concerns raised by a select group of Counter Strike veteran players who were given access to an early version of the game.
While no details were given about what exactly within the game needed to be changed (a common occurrence for a game this early in development,) Valve did say that they were fundamental issues that needed to be addressed before they let anyone from the public have a shot at the game. The initial beta test is expected to be limited to 10,000 players, though Valve later hopes to run a public beta test sometime before the final game launches on Steam, Xbox Live Arcade, and PSN sometime in early 2012.

The Battlefield 3 beta has been under way for about four days now and already some of EA’s servers have been hacked to support up to 128 players, however, those taking part in those “unofficial servers” could get the ban hammer on their EA account.
EA DICE is not jumping the gun with its acclaimed military shooter; they want it battle-tested before the game hits the stores on October 25. The publishers announced earlier today the details about the open multiplayer beta testing of Battlefield 3 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms, which will start on September 29th.
PC Gamers all over the world, hold on to your seats as the most popular and arguably the best dark fantasy/horror-themed action role-playing game that the world has ever seen is now coming back with Diablo III. Blizzard Entertainment announced earlier today that the development with the upcoming release of the latest Diablo installment is now going to beta testing phase.
This is why we can’t have ni- oh wait, I read it wrongly. To give thanks to all the participants in the Resistance 3 beta, Insomniac Games are giving them the Bowman’s Insult in the form of the Double Bird taunt and a Hale skin. Players who have participated in the beta test of Resistance 3 received an email that details everything. Players who log onto Resistance 3 between now and the end of the beta will get two goodies for free. The first goodie being a Hale skin that you can use, and getting the Hawaiian Good Luck Sign as a taunt.
I got a rare opportunity to sit down with the good people at Half Brick to check out what is upcoming for them and they showed off Fruit Ninja for Kinect and Fruit Ninja Frenzy on Facebook. First off, I will start with Fruit Ninja Frenzy on Facebook, I am not typically the type of person to spend a long time on Facebook playing games while I could be off slaying zombies or getting in some headshots on Halo. However, in my spare time I could definitely see myself logging onto Facebook and slicing up some fruit to beat all my friends!
So, by now you all must have your free month of PS+ set up and are enjoying the various perks that come along with it, I know I have. This week Playstation 3 users can expect some more goodies coming out of the premium service in the way of discounted games, free full game trials and completely free games all together. I would like to start off this review with a brief disclaimer: The review itself is based off of a Beta version of the game so this review will not include bugs or technical issues with the game and will instead focus only on the gameplay. I would just like to let those know that didn’t get a chance to play the game what to expect when the game launches next month.
