The sequel to one of my favourite games of last year, finally has a trailer and Death is the star. The second Brother of the Apocalypse rides to save War from his fate in this seemingly epic continuation of the supposed tetralogy. Enjoy the announcement trailer that will fill your soul.

The Microsoft press conference at this years E3 was arguably the worst in terms of exciting announcements, but they are still set to appease the core and casual gamers with their motion controller, Kinect. Dany Hay and Jamie Keen showed off Far Cry 3, a demonstration that was not only graphically pleasing, but seems to promise a great storyline for the users to follow. They will be demonstrating the game to all E3 attendees this year, in case some of your readers happening to be fortunate enough to go this year. If the trailer is any indication to what we should be expecting from this game, it promises upgraded graphics, and a new way to attack your enemies.

It would seem that a lot of gamers will admit that they aren’t buying Call of Duty games for the actual game play. They are buying it for the add-on game that was first introduced for Call of Duty: World At War. Nazi Zombies, a first person shooter that consists of killing, well, Nazi Zombies, has become a pretty popular commodity for the Call of Duty franchise. So it comes to no surprise that Activision has stepped up their game, introducing an interesting and welcomed twist for the Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation expansion pack’s zombie map. You will get to play as some of your favourite horror genre heroes (or heroines).

Dark Souls gaming is Reaching the Final Stages of Production

Dark Souls by From Software and Namco Bandai Games, the successor to the notoriously difficult PS3 RPG Demon’s Souls is nearing the final stages of production. Listening to the fans of Demon’s Souls, director Hidetaka Miyazaki says he’s excited to work on such a highly-anticipated game. An interview with Miyazaki has given several details on the game itself. He claims that even though the game has a plot, the gameplay ultimately doesn’t focus on it. Though a lot of details have been revealed, the majority of them are being kept hushed up so as not to spoil the surprise.

Namco Bandai had shown off some brief gameplay demos last year at GamesCom 2010 and this lead to the belief that the game would be released sometime in 2011 as no firm release was given. SquareEnix seems to be continuing on a weekly pattern of revealing a new character for the upcoming RPG title Dungeon Siege III. This week Reinhart Manx, an Arcane Mage,  has been introduced as well as a gameplay video featuring him. Treyarch has released a short developer diary/trailer for the upcoming installment of Black Ops DLC. This trailer provides a brief rundown of each of the four new multiplayer maps, and does not touch on the new “Call of the Dead” zombie map. I imagine zombies will be getting their own trailer in the next few days.
