The Wii game that everyone should be excited about is making me even more excited with its opening cinematic. If you are unfamiliar with Epic Mickey then this cinematic will give a good intro, obviously, into what the story is all about. The game itself is a unique platformer that involves Mickey adventuring across ‘disney land’ with a paintbrush, to restore the colourless state of the world, that Micky himself had unknowingly caused. So, sit back and enjoy this 3 minute opening, and then look forward to it this holiday.
Resistance 3 Officially Announced – Teaser Trailer
After an early leak from a movie set last year, and a no show at E3 it is nice to see that Insomniac Games is officially carrying on with the Resistance franchise. Today at Gamescom a teaser trailer was shown, that almost begins to come off as a good movie trailer.
However this teaser gives you a brief cinematic glimpse as to what is coming in the future. Insomniac looks to be going for a more brutal and gruesome approach to this title.
Halo: Reach ViDoc Update – A Spartan Will Rise
This afternoon Bungie gave us a deeper look into the Spartans that will make up Noble Team during our upcoming romp through planet Reach. This ViDoc carried a different type of cinematic tone then those of the past few months.
To summarize, you hear a female narrator (Dr. Halsey – creator of spartan program) breakdown a brief history and role taken on by each of the six members of Noble Team. This video is definitely more directed at the build up or hype towards the campaign. One thing that immediately stood out were the animations, whether they were in a cinematic sequence or gameplay section they held up strong in both cases.

Killzone 3 Multiplayer Video
A new Killzone 3 multiplayer video was just released to show some of the new features that have been added, to make an even better experience for all the players. There’s the assassinations and being able to get into a mech-suit mid combat to take down a bunch of enemies. After seeing this video, I’m just trying to picture how this will look in 3D? Now that is going to add a whole other level of awesome to the game.

Ys Seven PSP Gameplay Footage
It’s almost here, two days to go until us North Americans can enjoy this treasure of RPG awesomeness. Ys Seven was released in Japan a little less than a year ago and as you may expect, it is the seventh instalment in the Ys series. You may not have heard of this series of game before, but that is probably because the first three games were released for the NEC PC-8801. Then the fourth came to the SNES and the PC Engine and most future games came to the Windows platform. This is the first release of a Ys game to be released in North America on a console device first. XSeed, the company that is taking care of localization of this game, has also recently done work on Ivy The Wiki.
Newest Metroid Other M Trailer
The latest unveiling of video footage from this upcoming Wii title is nothing short of beautiful. I have been a Metroid fan since the SNES era, and enjoyed everyone since. Where Prime was a divergence from the side-scroller style this iteration will be diverging once again by be a far more action-oriented shooter, in a way it’s going back to it’s roots. This is coming from Team Ninja, those more known for there Ninja Gaiden and the Dead or Alive series of games. It’s quite interesting to see how some of those elements carried over into the world of Metroid.
Shank Looks Bloody Fun
Jamie, co-founder of Klei decided to share a little bit of info about their PSN/XBLA game Shank on the Playstation Blog, Wednesday. Here is what he had to say:
“Recently, I decided to have a little fun with the game and record some of the combos we came up with using the standard-issued weapons. Below is the result: a vignette of Shank wailing on a poor dude. Keeping your enemies tied up in combos, grappling enemies to deal additional damage, and using moves such as the pounce-shotgun tactic to keep enemies at bay become increasingly important in Shank as enemies become progressively smarter — especially in Hard Mode.
Deus Es: Human Revolution Gameplay Trailer
Square Enix just released a new gameplay trailer for Deux Es: Human Revolution today. DE:HR is about Adam Jensen a private security officer, that after witnessing a horrific attack on his company was left terribly scared and has to undergo a body augmentation to survive. After recovering he wants to find out who was behind the attack and take it upon himself to figure it out. From the footage I have seen it looks similar to Crysis purely on the fact that you have nanotechnology built into your body and the powers it gives you are almost the same as that in Crysis. But that’s just from my speculation, I won’t know for sure until the game is released and I give it a try for myself. Below is the BRAND NEW TRAILER RELEASED TODAY!
UK Enjoys The X-Dream Gyroxus Motion Chair–Me Too
Do you get into your games, I mean really get into them, so much so that you stick your tongue out and tilt and turn in your seat so you feel like you are right in the action. If you unashamedly said yes then I think you may feel right at home in this revolutionary gaming chair. Sure, it probably has one of the worst names for a device ever, I am writing this article and I can’t even remember the name, but it makes up for it in coolness. Now as you can see from the image and the video below it is quite a beefy device, but that is for all the mechanics and other inner workings that help you feel the game.
There are some downsides to the chair, especially for the games it works best with, racing games can not be enjoyed with a wheel as there is no place to set or mount one. So, if you are a racing fan and would only buy this chair to feel each turn of the track then I suggest looking for a comfier seat that does not have a controller module permanently attached. The other downside is the price, it sells for £399 at Best Buy in the UK, which is close to $800 here in North America. After the break check out the video to see the device in action and the customers reactions.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Multiplayer Teaser Trailer
Treyarch up until this point has been pretty hush hush in the world of Black Ops Multiplayer. Some campaign has been shown off and 4 player co-op has been hinted but today a quick glimpse into multiplayer has been shown off to build the hype of their upcoming release.
At first glimpse, this trailer may come off as Modern Warfare 2.5, but Treyarch assures that a full multiplayer reveal is due by September 1st. This looks like a classic romp through the same old COD multiplayer that we know and love, so this time around the campaign and co-op (potential nazi zombies) should be more of an improved focus.
