The folks over at Bethesda decided to unwind after completing their work on Skyrim… by doing more work on Skyrim. Who can blame them really? With a world as robust as theirs, who wouldn’t want to fiddle around. The rules of this in-house Game Jam were simple, developers took a week to add anything they want to Skyrim… anything.

Before your friday night slips away into whatever badass game you are playing, here is the latest trailer for Mass Effect 3. This trailer, titled “Special Forces”, is focusing purely on the multiplayer offering coming up for the first time in Mass Effect 3.
Dead Island was a special game from 2011, it was full of quirks and potential problems, but at the core was a great hack and slash first person title. I have a hard time calling Dead Island a FPS, because there is a much stronger emphasis on melee attack than there ever was on shooting.
Over this past summer I had the pleasure of meeting Randy Pitchford, President of Gearbox Software, and we quickly grabbed a photo in front of the Aliens: Colonial Marines booth. He was totally pumped for what his team was putting together, and seemed quite confident that this title was going to be the experience that Aliens fans have bee waiting for.
Twisted Metal launched February 14th, and who better to get you pumped up than David Jaffe himself. Jaffe is known for being a little over the top, and always has something insightful to throw into any game conversation. He seems to always be looking out for the best interest of the gamer and strives to make an entertaining experience.

Fast paced arena shooters are a tough find these days, titles like Quake and Unreal tournament were the cornerstone of fast paced FPS’s and should not be forgotten. Luckily a new downloadable title know as Nexuiz will be lauching as part of the House Party XBLA promotion.
Along with the news of the “Fenix Rising” achievements, Epic has released a flythrough of one of the upcoming maps. Say what you will about Gears maps, but I happen to appreciate the symmetry and lines of sight in most of their maps. Even in the days of Unreal Tournament, Epic has always provided some of the industries most memorable multiplayer arenas.
The official trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5 has been released just a few minutes ago. The trailer takes gamers back to San Andreas and possibly further. Footage shows plenty of evidence that GTA5 is clearly in California, what is unclear is just how much of it.

Seems like 343i has done a great job of trying to incorporate events that happened during Halo: Reach. The trailer shown below shows the events leading up to the departure of Pillar of Autumn. Lots of classic Halo imagery and set pieces are shown off and even a quick glimpse of the flood.
