The Windows Phone 7 officially launched today in the U.S and is sure to be an awesome new toy for all you tech hounds or smart phone enthusiasts. But if you plan on jail breaking your WP7 in hopes of playing some pirated games, Microsoft just may teach you the ultimate lesson. According to wpcentral there are some files inside the WP7 build that suggest Microsoft has the ability to ban people who cheat on the Xbox Live Leaderboards, Achievements or use pirated games on WP7. Nintendo: Almost Half The American Population Use Our Consoles

An internal survey conducted by Nintendo found that 46% of Americans aging between 6 and 74 years old have used a Nintendo Wii or DS at least once in the past year.

The survey also found that – of the same age group – 62% have played console games at all.

After introducing the aforementioned findings, Nintendo’s president Satoru Iwata noted that – despite declining unit sale this years – Wii audience has increased by almost 25% to reach 100 million users.

Sony Indirectly Confirms PSP Phone

A few days ago, Engaget released a photo of a Playstation phone. However, it was no more than a proposed picture until now. Sony’s official stance towards the leaked Playstation Phone is refusing to “comment on rumours and speculations,” but a CNN interview with Sony’s senior vice president of marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment of America Peter Dille seems to have done achieved nothing but confirming those rumours.

When the PSPGo Launched over a year ago one of the biggest sticking points for many consumers was the price. $250 seemed a bit generous for the removal of the ability to play older games and the only upgrades where the look and memory, neither should add any cost. Though I can’t say Sony regrets that choice, as they have waited a normal amount of time before the $50 price drop occurred.

After the lukewarm reception that Sonic 4 has received it seems that SEGA has some ground to make up with their next upcoming titled. Sonic Colors has been claimed to be targeted toward those not old enough to remember Sonic & Knuckles and coincidentally those that did not enjoy that game.
