Wii Party Bundled With Wiimote

Wii Party Bundled With Wiimote

Remember when Wii Play came with a free controller with the purchase of the game, well the tradition continues with Wii Party. Wii Play was one of the best selling Wii titles to date, much like the other peripheral including Wii Fit, so Wii Party is likely to follow suit. So if you need a new family, or party game, or are even just looking for a new controller that so happens to come with software then this is what you were waiting for.

uDraw Tablet Peripheral Unveiled for Wii

uDraw Tablet Peripheral Unveiled for Wii

THQ wants to bring more features to the Wii this year, and instead of some sort of software feature they have actually developed an entirely new input method. The title of the device also seems to attempt to capitalize on the naming structure of the iSeries devices. The uDraw tablet may remind some of you old school gamers of the classic SNES game, Mario Paint, which stood on its own innovation to become the epitome of artistry for a gaming console. uDraw will bring the success of the DS’s stylus input to a larger screen hopefully marrying the two platforms in new ways.

Harry Potter–A Harcore Kinect Game

Harry Potter–A Harcore Kinect Game

“EA wields its magic, adding Kinect mode to its upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 Videogame”, That is how the title to the recent press release reads. This was announced at The Beginning of Gamescom this year, and to some it may be quite a big announcement. The first thing that popped into my head when I read the press release was a similar Game that is coming to the PS Move, named Sorcery , which is being touted as a hardcore game for the upcoming motion controller. The lacklustre line-up for the Kinect seemed to be swaying gamers away from the device and this may a way to reel some of them back.

Big List of Awesome Nintendo Release Dates

Big List of Awesome Nintendo Release Dates

Some of the dates came as a surprise to me, considering E3 just happened, or so it feels that way. October and November are going to be expensive months for me, and possibly December if that happens to be the Epic Mickey release date. If you were curious, I am most excited for games involving  Kirby, DK, Goldeneyes and Final Fantasy. These were all announced at Gamescom this year, enjoy.

Disney’s Epic Mickey Opening Cinematic

Disney’s Epic Mickey Opening Cinematic

The Wii game that everyone should be excited about is making me even more excited with its opening cinematic. If you are unfamiliar with Epic Mickey then this cinematic will give a good intro, obviously, into what the story is all about. The game itself is a unique platformer that involves Mickey adventuring across ‘disney land’ with a paintbrush, to restore the colourless state of the world, that Micky himself had unknowingly caused. So, sit back and enjoy this 3 minute opening, and then look forward to it this holiday.

Newest Metroid Other M Trailer

Newest Metroid Other M Trailer

The latest unveiling of video footage from this upcoming Wii title is nothing short of beautiful. I have been a Metroid fan since the SNES era, and enjoyed everyone since. Where Prime was a divergence from the side-scroller style this iteration will be diverging once again by be a far more action-oriented shooter, in a way it’s going back to it’s roots. This is coming from Team Ninja, those more known for there Ninja Gaiden and the Dead or Alive series of games. It’s quite interesting to see how some of those elements carried over into the world of Metroid.

GoldenEye Wii Classic Controller Pro

GoldenEye Wii Classic Controller Pro

What better way to relive those classic N64 days with the gold cartridges other than with a golden classic controller. As far as I know GoldenEye was not released on the afore mentioned golden cartridge, though it did earn five golden stars in our hearts, and I suppose this is why the controller is to be released in a bundle with the game.

The controller doesn’t look too appealing to me personally, but I figure that I will be buying the new GoldenEye regardless so I might as well drop an extra $20 and get this with it. This puts the retail price at $69.99 and of course it’s $49.99 for teh standard edition. A black or white classic controller pro sells for $20 alone, but there is no word if this edition will be a stand-alone product.

UK Enjoys The X-Dream Gyroxus Motion Chair–Me Too

UK Enjoys The X-Dream Gyroxus Motion Chair–Me Too

Do you get into your games, I mean really get into them, so much so that you stick your tongue out and tilt and turn in your seat so you feel like you are right in the action. If you unashamedly said yes then I think you may feel right at home in this revolutionary gaming chair. Sure, it probably has one of the worst names for a device ever, I am writing this article and I can’t even remember the name, but it makes up for it in coolness. Now as you can see from the image and the video below it is quite a beefy device, but that is for all the mechanics and other inner workings that help you feel the game.

There are some downsides to the chair, especially for the games it works best with, racing games can not be enjoyed with a wheel as there is no place to set or mount one. So, if you are a racing fan and would only buy this chair to feel each turn of the track then I suggest looking for a comfier seat that does not have a controller module permanently attached. The other downside is the price, it sells for £399 at Best Buy in the UK, which is close to $800 here in North America. After the break check out the video to see the device in action and the customers reactions.

Nintendo Wii Has Sold 30 Million Just In The US

Nintendo Wii Has Sold 30 Million Just In The US

I remember back in 2006, waiting in line to be one of the first and few to get Nintendo’s shiny, white, rectangle console. It was a cool November but all the excitement and the fellow Nintendo fans made it a warm wait. I was so full of happiness after I purchased the Wii that I rushed home right away, set it up and popped in Twilight Princess then played until the sun came up. Luckily I didn’t have to work the next day.

Weeks following that it seems store shelves could not hold on to the console due to the amazing demand, and even two years later sales showed little sign of slowing. The Wii was constantly at the top of NDP hardware lists and sales charts and right before a large drop in sales Wii Fit was released and kept its reign supreme. Not until  last year did the Wii actually drop in sales by a significant amount.

So, this may comes as no surprise but Nintendo announced today via a press release that they have reached a milestone. 30 million Nintendo Wii Consoles have been sold since it’s launch November 19 and this is just in the United States alone. That is pretty huge considering it did this 15 months faster than the PS2 did it. Also in the press release was the top software titles sold for each, first and third party companies. These are after the break.
