Just last week EA announced the sequel to the reboot of the Medal of Honor series. EA Los Angeles is back on the reigns for this project and the game will sport the–now standard–Frostbite 2 engine. That same engine will be running behind both the single and multiplayer aspects, which are both being developed in house this time.

Killzone 3 Multiplayer Goes Free To Play Today
Free to play has worked on PC’s, so why not on consoles? Sony is testing the free to play waters on the PS3 by releasing a stand-alone, free-to-play version of Killzone 3′s multiplayer. Players can play for free until they level up the Sergeant rank, after which you’ll have to decide if continued play is worth ponying $15 for.

Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead Invades this ‘Spring’
Like a zombie swarm, it multiplies. First there was the graphic novel The Walking Dead, and then the show The Walking Dead, then a talk show about the original show called The Talking Dead, and now there is the game called, yet again, The Walking Dead. Oh, did I mention the show about the game? Yeah, it’s called Playing Dead – just wait until porn companies begin spoofing these names using the same formula. I love zombies as much as the next guy, but come on, enough is enough. Thankfully Telltale Games is making it, so there is hope (Please don’t put Lori in the game).
Jet Set Radio Coming to XBLA, PSN
Sega just released a teaser for their next Dreamcast to XBLA/PSN port, and while they don’t say the specifically name the game in question, I’m sure anyone who owned a Dreamcast immediately figured out what game it was as soon as they heard that trademark funky music. Yup, cult classic Jet Set Radio (originally known as Jet Grind Radio when it was released in the US) is getting an HD update.
“Next” Metal Gear Solid Game Coming to PC’s, “High-End” Consoles
Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series and prolific tweeter, made an announcement today via his favorite social networking platform that their is indeed another Metal Gear Solid game in development, and that Kojima Productions is currently hiring en-masse as they gear up production on the next title in their flagship franchise. More details will apparently be unveiled at this year’s GDC, but here’s what little we know:
Mojang is Making Tim Schafer Look like a Boss Again
It seems that over the past week I’ve been typing the names “Tim Schafer” and “Notch” in the tags on my posts an awful lot. Obviously most of this revolved around Double Fine’s vastly successful Kickstarter campaign and Notch’s hopefully cautious comments about Psychonauts 2. Yesterday Mojang had their successful Humblebundle event. Now, however, Mojang is making Schafer look like a boss, completely by accident.
Players’ Digital Wares Hijacked by Gotham’s Impostors
With some initially positive reviews, it appeared as though Gotham City Impostors might have been able to glide itself towards success. I spent some time with the game last week and agreed that it was a uniquely fun experience. However some players have reported to Joystiq that there is a glitch which resets all previously earned and purchased in-game goods. I really need to stop jinxing the games I write about.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus Coming to Arcades, XBLA and PSN
Guilty Gear is back! … Kind of. It’s been 4 years since Guilty Gear Accent Core was released, and outside of the weird action/strategy hybrid Guilty Gear II for Xbox 360 in 2009, there hasn’t been much news regarding Arc System Works’ rock metal themed fighter this generation. Thankfully, Sol Badguy and crew are poised to make their comeback tour sometime soon, as Sega announced today that they’ll be porting the latest version of Guilty Gear over to arcades, XBLA and PSN.
