High Velocity Bowling Move Update for PS+ Subscribers

High Velocity Bowling Move Update for PS+ Subscribers

There seems to be a growing trend of adding Move support to older Playstation titles, but a newer trend has spawned from that, Playstation Plus only availability. High Velocity Bowling is so far the only game to have this limitation, though the re-released Blu-Ray version will have the patch on the disc.

Shadows of the Damned Announced

Shadows of the Damned Announced

Tokyo Game Show has been over for almost a week now, and with busy lives it’s hard to catch up with it all, but there is plenty exciting information still be unveiled on many new projects; one I am particularly interested in is Shadows of the Damned.

Legendary Japanese developer Grasshopper Manufacture revealed Shadows of the Damned, an all-new psychological action thriller game from executive director Suda51 (director of No More Heroes), creative producer Shinji Mikami (director of Resident Evil) and music composer Akira Yamaoka (sound director of Silent HillTM). Shadows of the Damned follows a demon hunter deep into a hyper-twisted re-imagining of hell where he must rescue the love of his life by defeating the armies of darkness with the power of the light.

ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West Releasing October 5th

I was lucky enough to get my hands on this game at Comic-Con, though it was for a short period I was able to derive the feel and gameplay of the game. I enjoyed my short experience, and since it didn’t spend much time with it I didn’t have enough content to fill a post. Now the game has a release date and more information has come out, so here it is all laid out for you.

The Return of Michael Jordan – NBA 2K11 “Present Day” Trailer

The Return of Michael Jordan – NBA 2K11 “Present Day” Trailer

I am not much of a sports fan when it comes to the real world or video games (hockey is an exception), but every now and then an icon like Michael Jordan cannot be passed up. MJ was the face of modern basketball growing up, seeing number 23 on a Red Bulls jersey was a staple of growing up in the nineties.

Last Guardian Holiday 2011 Launch Trailer

Last Guardian Holiday 2011 Launch Trailer

Yesterday, we mentioned the news of the revamped Team Ico games from the last generation. Today, we have the latest trailer showing off the beautiful world of The Last Guardian. In the trailer it exemplifies the close friendship that the protagonist boy shares with his griffin-like companion. It also mentions a Holiday 2011 release, for the PS3 game, that seems far too long to wait to play this amazing looking game. At least we have Ico and Shadow of the Colossus to enjoy in the meantime.

New Playstation Patent Possibly for Backwards Compatibility

New Playstation Patent Possibly for Backwards Compatibility

It seems that our friends over at Sony have filled a patent for  some sort of add-on device to the PS3. The only thing that has people wondering, is what could it be? “The PlayStation 3–it only does everything”… except play games from its older brothers. This seems to be the only logical conclusion for this device, but if it does play old games why not just go buy a PS2 seeing as it would probably be cheaper than buying this add-on? perhaps it has an HD upscaler of some sort. Now this is only speculation of course but it is the next logical decision for Sony, so all its fans can crack out their old favourites without having to dig through the closet and dust off the last generation console. Pictures of the patent below.

Resident Evil Gold Edition is Ready to Move

Resident Evil Gold Edition is Ready to Move

As most motion controller enthusiasts may be already aware, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition would be getting the ability to use motion controls. Now, Sony has released an update to prepare the game for the forthcoming Move controller. The update is of course free of charge, and will work with the Gold Edition of Resident Evil 5 only. Move is out tomorrow, so update now so you can just pop in the game and play with 1:1 precision aiming. I am sure a Kinect update will be following sometime soon.
