Well, 2011 was a year filled with lots and lots of games, amongst those titles some have succeeded and some have failed but with such a large variety it was hard to know which ones to get. I, like many, had to make choices like Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3; Skyrim or Dark Souls, but fortunately I believe I made the right decisions in most cases and would like to present my top 5 games of 2011.
We officially have our first look at Robin in the upcoming Batman: Arkham City, Robin will be an exclusive playable character on challenges maps to those who have pre-ordered the game through various retail store i.e Gamestop and Best Buy.

In a recent interview with Eurogamer Crytek said that they want a minimum of 8GB of Ram in the next gen consoles, In regards to the issues they encountered while developing Crysis 2 for consoles heres what Crytek’s Principal Graphics Engineer Tiago Sousa had to say ”My finger-pointing at Microsoft/Sony would really be on the memory side,”
After checking out all of the awesome pranks pulled by the many companies of the industry I have decided to reveal what I believed to be the top 3 April fools day pranks.
Every week more and more details are being revealed and shown about Battlefield 3, Dice’s new installment into the Battlefield series. If you enjoyed that amazing teaser trailer released not to long ago showing off the new Frostbite 2 engine then you will love this new 3 minute trailer showing off some amazing game play and new mechanics that are being introduced to the series. With February 22nd getting closer and closer, more details and videos are coming out to show off all the new features in Killzone 3. In the video below they show their new “Brutal Melee” where, if you get up close and personal with the Helghast you can pull out your knife and stab them in the face, only if you deem it necessary. They also show off their slide cover system which is a little better than I anticipated.
Today is the first time Crysis ever set foot in the console world, with the release of the Crysis 2 Demo/Beta we can finally play the critically acclaimed PC game on our Xbox 360 and it is starting with a bang. In this Beta you will be able to play on one map titled “SkyLine” in a team death match mode until you hit rank 5 or 6 then you will unlock “Crash Site” which is a capture and hold game type. Now where this differs from other games you will have the ability to use powers in mid combat not 1, not 2 but 3 powers all in one load out.

The first map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops will be hitting the Xbox Live marketplace February 1st, and it’s looking to be quite promising. This map pack will include four new multiplayer maps and one zombie map all for 1200 Microsoft Points. This map pack will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 for the first month or so then it will be released to the PC and PS3 community. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think!
Sledgehammer games has posted on their site that they are currently working on the next Call of Duty FPS and are hiring. So if any of you think you have what it takes to work on the next title why not apply and see if you can get in! Due to be released next year (I’m guessing around November) we will be seeing another installment in the Call of Duty franchise and lets hope they keep getting better.
The jokers over at Epic games decided to release a new trailer for their upcoming game Bulletstorm. Now this trailer is a parody of the Halo 3 believe trailer, and to be honest I think that Epic and People Can Fly really out-did themselves by making a nice little parody. But by not taking it to far to make it seem as if they are insulting the Halo trailer. Check out the video below and let us know what you think!
