Dear Battlefield 3,
It’s so nice we have finally had a chance to get to know one another. You know, I was raised to never judge a book by its cover, and I am glad our relationship didn’t end on our first impressions. Because let me tell you, we got off to quite the rocky start. Leading up to your release, all I could talk about was how awesome BF3 was going to be…and than the beta came out.
So, you may have heard of this new RPG called Skyrim, its been doing quite well I guess you could say. No, jokes aside, Skyrim is perhaps one of the best gaming accomplishments our industry has been provided with in recent years.

Good news this afternoon for PS3 CoD gamers, you will not be in the dark for much longer. After the CoD content seasons kicked off last week, the Sony community was once again put on the waiting list for the new maps Piazza and Liberation.

Downloadable titles, I personally feel, are the future of how console gamers will digest their games. With consoles every year offering hard drives with more available space, the ability to save a full game locally and play off the hard drive is inevitable.
Before your friday night slips away into whatever badass game you are playing, here is the latest trailer for Mass Effect 3. This trailer, titled “Special Forces”, is focusing purely on the multiplayer offering coming up for the first time in Mass Effect 3.
Dead Island was a special game from 2011, it was full of quirks and potential problems, but at the core was a great hack and slash first person title. I have a hard time calling Dead Island a FPS, because there is a much stronger emphasis on melee attack than there ever was on shooting.
Over this past summer I had the pleasure of meeting Randy Pitchford, President of Gearbox Software, and we quickly grabbed a photo in front of the Aliens: Colonial Marines booth. He was totally pumped for what his team was putting together, and seemed quite confident that this title was going to be the experience that Aliens fans have bee waiting for.

Twisted Metal launched February 14th, and who better to get you pumped up than David Jaffe himself. Jaffe is known for being a little over the top, and always has something insightful to throw into any game conversation. He seems to always be looking out for the best interest of the gamer and strives to make an entertaining experience.
If you grew up gaming in the 90’s, you are more than aware of Mad Catz accessories. I personally have memories of playing Mario Kart 64 and Goldeneye with friends, unfortunately leaving the 3rd party Mad Catz controller for whoever showed up late.
