Major Minecraft Changes Planned: Singleplayer is now a solo Multiplayer. Also, some Modding API thing.

Okay that sounds weird, but let me explain this a little. Notch commented in the past that the code of Minecraft would have been much cleaner and more friendly to work with if he had coded it purely as a multiplayer game, and having singleplayer be simply going solo. As any fan of MC mods will know, there is a massive difference between Singleplayer and Multiplayer, and getting a mod to work smoothly in both is like herding cats at a fish market.

Okay this is why I both love and despise the sex offender’s register. Love it because it lets me know if there is a rapist in my area, and despise it because it’s starting to get to where I am questioning its legality. In an effort to further mitigate online predators and people who take a leak in the woods, several videogame companies agreed to ban the accounts of 3500 registered New York sex offenders after an agreement with the attorney general’s office.

Do Gamers Realize When They Break the Law?

Sometimes I’m disgusted to call myself a gamer. Communities rife with pirates, racists, sexual harassment, homophobia, nationalism, hackers, threats… put the kettle on I’m writing another novel-length opinion piece.

I’m not a programmer, I’m not a designer, I’m not anyone who makes content for sale. Despite this you all know my opinion of piracy; I hate it. Even companies like EA and so on who use DRM and publishers that spit on developers, people who don’t deserve money, aren’t exempt from that stance. Onto my point, some gamers regularly break the law, often in ways that they think nobody cares about. Well people do.
