Good news for all you middle-class 3D TV enthusiasts out there, cheap 3D glasses are finally coming to a home near you. RealD glasses aren’t going to be limited to the theatres any more. I am sure many of you have had the chance to sample the pleasures of 3D television at your local tech store and enjoyed it, but your hopes were shattered when you discovered that on top of that lovely 3DTV you would also have a tacked on price for battery-powered glasses, that cost a couple hundred dollars.

Final Fantasy XIII Review

Final Fantasy XIII is a divisive game; people either love it or they hate it.  What do I think of it?  Well… I guess I’m weird, because I don’t really like it, nor do I hate it outright either.  To put it simply, FF13 is equally brilliant and terrible. It’s a weird mishmash of incredibly high production values mixed with some surprisingly half-assed gameplay elements that create an overall mediocre final product.  It’s not the worst game ever made, but it’s certainly not anywhere close to being the best either.

3DS Launch Date, Details Announced

3DS Launch Date, Details Announced

Today, Nintendo finally released some concrete details regarding the release of their newest system, the 3DS.  Since their press conference was held in Chiba, Japan, much of the information — like the 25,000 Yen price, the February 26th launch date, and the streaming television service — only pertained to the Japanese market, but Nintendo’s president Satoru Iwata did let it slip that the system will launch in America and Europe sometime in March for an unspecified price.

Enslaved Demo Impressions

After a couple playthroughs of this demo, I’ve come to one conclusion… It tried… Basically the new game from the geniuses behind Heavenly Sword feels like it falls short in all the categories. Obviously I don’t know how the campaign experience will be but from the combat and platforming it feels like its trying to be a bunch of other games combined into one awesome experience, but it can’t quite grasp it.

Xbox Live Fall 2010 Dashboard Update Preview: Netflix search, Kinect, and more!

A little before Kinect is set to hit the shelves on November 4th, Microsoft plans on rolling out the Fall Update to Xbox Live that is going to be packed full of features. Better yet! if you signed up for the preview program then you will get to use the new dashboard even sooner!

Although, that shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, even without the numerous leaks, the fall update has been a tradition of the almost five-year-old Xbox 360, and the company devoted a large chunk of its E3 2010 presentation to talk about the biggest additions. That includes Netflix search (which is now useful in Canada), Zune music, and an entertainment hub for ESPN (you may have heard of them). Here is the break down of the features:

This is just a quick reminder to al Borderlands fans, Claptraps new “Robo Revolution” went live yesterday on your appropriate downloadable service for $9.99 and using about 1.5 GB of space. By the looks of things the level cap raise has not yet been implemented with the new content, but it should be shortly behind the DLC release.
