Platinum Games unveiled the second trailer for their intense, action, sci-fi, shooter Vanquish. This is Shinji Mikami’s follow up game after he worked on God Hand. He said he wanted Vanquish to be a lot like the anime Casshern, with lots of punching and kicking so it would be much more like an action game than a shooter. He continues by saying that there are very few opportunities to do that in the game, but it feels very rewarding once you do get the chance.

Customers who pre-order a copy of the game with Gamestop will have exclusive access to this three-weapon pack, available via Xbox LIVE® Marketplace and PlayStation Store. VANQUISH is set to be released on Oct. 19 in North America, with the pack being available the same day. The Tri-Weapon pack contains a small arsenal of experimental technology, made up of the Boost Machine Gun, Anti-Armour Pistol and Laser Cannon.
