Touch Screen iMac Patents Leak
With the huge success of the Apple iPod, iPad and iPhone, Apple is continuing to advance with there touch screen technology with the touch screen iMac. Now of course because this is Apple, it’s not going to be official until Steve Jobs has a keynote presentation to announce it. But the patents that leaked out show a clear idea of Apples touch screen idea’s for the iMac computers. They will take it from a upright to a leaned position which then will activate the touch screen ability with a build in accelerometer. Now this obviously is not 100% official just speculation until Apple announces it, but I am guessing this is will be coming out in the near future. Who knows? Maybe it will be annoucned tomorrow at Apples Special Event along with the new generation of the iPod.

New Chips for a New 360
IBM and Microsoft have been working quite tirelessly on making a chipset that would reduce or even eliminate the RRoD issue. It seems smaller means better in this case, as they decided to squish the graphics process and CPU together into one chip, that takes up less space, power and cost than previous iterations. The new chips name, “Vejle”, which had been assumed to be the oft-rumoured Valhalla, is going to powering the new Xbox 360 S. After the break is a picture of the evolution of the CPU and GPU of the Xbox 360.

Finally we get to see what was under that helmet, in the latest commercial for Samsung’s new phone the Galaxy S. Well, it may not actually be Master chief, but it sure does bare a great resemblance to him, as he hops into a spacecraft to fend of a giant crab type creature. Though, it can’t be Master Chief as he would never run away from danger.
Xbox Live Price Increase
I figured it was only a matter of time before something along the lines of a price change occurred for such a lovely service like Xbox Live, so as of November 1st all retail and online sources of your subscription will increase in price. The price adjustments have been announced in US figures, but the increase should happen across the globe in similar amounts.
Toshiba Steps Up and Creates a Glasses-Free 3D TV
Consumer attention to 3D TVs has been disappointing to manufacturers and analysts who anticipated high sales and placed large sums of money on hopes it would be as successful as HDTV’s. However, there are two main problems facing the widespread adoption of 3D TVs, firstly, their price is still way too high for most consumers and secondly, most viewers such as myself do not like wearing glasses to watch movies in their living rooms.
